Terms and Conditions

Rules for using the Your Norway portal: content, comments, company directory, donations and liability.

1. General provisions

The Terms set out the rules for using the Your Norway portal, available at twojanorwegia.no (hereinafter: "Portal").

The Operator of the Portal is Wataha Integrasjon Forening, a Norwegian non-profit organization, organization number 926160346, address: [ADRES], e-mail: [E-MAIL] (hereinafter: "Operator").

Using the Portal signifies acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept the Terms, do not use the Portal.

2. Definitions

  • User: any person using the Portal.

  • Content: articles, guides, photos, graphics and other materials published on the Portal.

  • Comment: a User's statement published under content.

  • Business listing: a company entry in the business directory maintained on the Portal.

  • Donation: voluntary financial support of the Operator's activities.

3. Nature of content

Content published on the Portal is informational and educational in nature. We strive to ensure it is reliable, up-to-date and based on credible sources, which we provide with the articles.

Content does not constitute legal, tax, financial or other professional advice. Regulations and the practice of authorities in Norway often change, and every situation is different. In individual matters, contact the relevant authority (e.g. NAV, UDI, Skatteetaten) or a lawyer or advisor.

Translations of content into English, Norwegian, Russian and Ukrainian are created with the help of artificial intelligence tools. In case of discrepancies, the Polish version of the text shall prevail.

4. Copyright

The Portal's content is protected by copyright law, including the Norwegian Copyright Act (åndsverkloven). Rights to the content belong to the Operator or their authors.

Quoting fragments of content is allowed with attribution to the source ("Your Norway") and an active link to the quoted article.

Without the Operator's written consent it is prohibited to:

  • copying and publishing entire articles or substantial parts thereof,

  • using content for commercial purposes,

  • automatically downloading content (scraping), including for training artificial intelligence models.

For questions about licenses and reprints write to [E-MAIL].

5. Comments

Commenting on content may require logging in via an external service (e.g. Facebook). By publishing a comment, the User is responsible for its content.

It is prohibited to publish comments that:

  • violate the law, including threats, hate speech or calls for violence,

  • insult, harass or defame other people,

  • disclose personal data of other people without their consent,

  • contain spam, advertisements or links to suspicious sites,

  • infringe copyrights or other rights of third parties,

  • deliberately mislead on legal, health or financial matters.

The Operator has the right to remove comments that violate the Terms and to block commenting for Users who persistently break the rules. The Operator is not obliged to give prior notice of comment removal.

If you believe a comment violates the law or your rights, report it to [E-MAIL], providing a link and a brief justification.

6. Business directory

On the Portal we maintain a directory of companies run by Poles or serving Polish-speaking clients in Norway.

Adding a Business listing does not require creating an account. Before publication the Operator verifies the submission, including by telephone. The Operator may refuse to publish or remove a Business listing if the data are false, incomplete, or the company's activities violate the law or the Portal's rules.

The company is responsible for the accuracy of the data in the Business listing and for the compliance of its activities with Norwegian law. The Operator is not a party to contracts concluded between companies and clients and is not responsible for the quality of services of companies in the directory.

The payment terms for Business listings, the publication period and prices are provided in the submission form and on the page Advertising and funding.

7. Donations

Donations are voluntary and support the Operator's statutory activities, including the maintenance and development of the Portal. Making a donation does not give influence over editorial content.

Donations are non-refundable, except for payments made by mistake or in an incorrect amount. In such a case contact us at [E-MAIL] within 14 days of the payment.

8. Complaints

Complaints concerning the operation of the Portal, Business listings or payments can be submitted to [E-MAIL]. The report should include contact details, a description of the problem and, if applicable, the date of payment.

We respond to complaints without undue delay, no later than 14 days after receiving the report.

Consumers may also use the assistance of Forbrukerrådet in resolving disputes.

9. Liability

The Operator makes efforts to ensure that the Portal operates without interruptions and errors, but does not guarantee its continuous availability. Technical work may temporarily limit access to the Portal.

The Operator is not responsible for:

  • decisions made by Users based on the content of the Portal,

  • the content of Comments and Business listings published by third parties,

  • the content of external pages to which links lead.

Limitations of liability do not exclude the Operator's liability to the extent that it cannot be excluded under applicable law.

If you notice an error in an article, write to us. We correct errors and mark significant corrections.

10. Personal data and cookies

The rules for processing personal data and using cookies are described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookies Policy.

11. Changes to the terms

The Operator may change the terms, for example in connection with changes in legislation or new Portal features. The current version is always available on this page. We notify about significant changes on the Portal in advance.

12. Governing law

The terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are decided by Norwegian courts, provided that consumers retain the protection resulting from the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.

The terms have been in force since 2019.
