Let's help find Hubert. Appeal to the Polish community in Norway

Hubert Dyrda is 25 years old. Since the Sunday morning of 18 October his loved ones have had no contact with him. He disappeared in Drammen. His family asks for the help of everyone who may have seen him, can share the photos or join the search.

We are appealing to the Polish community in Norway, especially residents of Drammen, Oslo and the surrounding areas: look closely at Hubert's photos. Show them to friends, coworkers and neighbours. The information may reach someone who met him after his disappearance and does not yet know he is being sought.

What is known about the disappearance?

According to an account provided to the editorial office, Hubert left a party in Drammen in the early morning. Since then he has not returned and has not contacted his relatives.

The police received a missing person report on Monday 19 October at 15:47. In an earlier statement they indicated that the man was last seen on Sunday at about 07:00.

From the information published on 21 October, conveyed by the police to local media, it appears that the last known sighting of Hubert concerns the area around Tollbugata i Rydningsgangen w Drammen. Investigators are asking for any information about his movements from 18 October from 04:00.

Reports in the appeal received by the editorial office also mention possible sightings of Hubert in Oslo or on the way to Vikersund. These have not been confirmed. People who have their own observations from these places are asked to pass them directly to the police.

Description of Hubert Dyrda

  • Age: 25 years.

  • Height: approximately 180 cm.

  • Hair: red, according to information provided to the editorial office.

  • Build: average.

  • Language: Polish.

According to the relatives' appeal Hubert was wearing light beige-cream sweatpants and a black T-shirt. In Norwegian communications there are discrepancies regarding the clothing: an earlier police statement lists beige pants and a black shirt, while a newer piece of information given to the media lists grey pants and a black shirt. When identifying him, pay attention primarily to Hubert's face and photos.

Polish community, help is needed

According to the appeal provided to the editorial office the family came to Norway to take part in the search. The relatives ask for support from people in Drammen and Oslo who can spare time to help in the field.

If you want to join, first contact the people leading the operation and establish the current meeting point and the search area. Contact given in the relatives' appeal: +48 666 877 456.

We also ask drivers, couriers, taxi drivers, transport workers, shop and premises employees: check whether you remember meeting Hubert after Sunday morning. Pay attention to the person in the photos during your daily journeys and work.

You can also help by sharing the appeal in local groups, sending it to friends and — with the owner’s permission — posting a poster in a shop or workplace.

Do you have a camera in the area? Check the recordings

The police are especially asking camera owners in the area of Hubert's last sighting to check their monitoring. Recordings from the vicinity of Tollbugata and Rydningsgangen from 18 October from 04:00 may be significant.

If you notice a person resembling Hubert, save the recording and give the police the exact time and place. Even a short clip can help reconstruct his subsequent route.

Have you seen Hubert? Report it to the police

Contact the Norwegian police:

  • 02800 - the number listed in the earlier announcement.

  • +47 476 96 400 - the number provided in the latest search update.

When reporting, give as precisely as possible when and where you saw Hubert, which direction he was moving and whether he was alone. Also say whether you have a photo or a recording. Indicate if you are not sure about the identification.

In a situation of immediate threat to life or safety call 112.

The family asks for help and for others to share

According to information provided to the editorial office the family is not running a fundraiser related to Hubert's disappearance. They ask primarily for information, dissemination of photos and help in the search.

We ask editorial offices, Polish community organizations, administrators of local groups and residents of Norway to pass the appeal on.

Look closely at the photos. Share the appeal. If you know something - contact the police. Let's help the family find Hubert.

Information status: 21 October 2026. The material is based on the police statement, information provided to local media and the appeal and correction of the description of appearance provided to the editorial office.
