Eikeland oppvekstsenter kindergarten is a municipal kindergarten and part of Eikeland oppvekstsenter, which consists of both kindergarten and school. The centre is located in scenic surroundings in Hægeland, approximately 20 minutes' drive north of Vennesla centre.
The kindergarten has 58 places, 23 employees and is organized into three departments. We have our own premises and a large, fenced outdoor area. In the local area we have access to exciting hiking areas, our own grill hut, a lighted trail and groomed ski trails. We have a close and good collaboration with the school and among other things share the staff room.
From 1 December 2026 we have a 100 % permanent position available as a pedagogical leader.
Other pedagogical positions may also become available at Eikeland oppvekstsenter, kindergarten department, or at other kindergartens in the municipality.
We are looking for an experienced, engaged and confident pedagogical leader who can lead, organize and further develop the pedagogical work in the department. You must be confident in the leadership role, be able to guide and develop employees and contribute actively to the kindergarten's professional development work.

Teachers/positions requiring 3-year U/H education: from kr 545 400 to kr 639 900 (depending on seniority)
Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, implement, document and evaluate the pedagogical work in the department.
- Have professional responsibility for individual children, the child group and the development of a safe, inclusive and developmental play and learning environment.
- Ensure that the work is in accordance with the Kindergarten Act, the framework plan, the annual plan and the kindergarten's and municipality's priority areas.
- Lead and follow up staff through daily personnel management, professional guidance, reflection and development of pedagogical practice.
- Contribute actively in the kindergarten's leadership team, development work and the work to further develop the kindergarten as a learning organization.
- Contribute to a good working environment, cooperation across departments and the development of a shared house and a common unit.
- Be responsible for a good and trusting collaboration with parents and relevant partners, among other things through parent conversations and parent meetings.
- Participate in the Learning Environment Project and contribute to the kindergarten's development work.
- Be a practice supervisor for kindergarten teacher students and contribute to developing the kindergarten as a learning and education arena.
Qualifications
Necessary:
- Approved pedagogical education as a preschool teacher or kindergarten teacher
- Good Norwegian skills, both written and oral.
- Good ICT skills in your own planning work and collaboration/communication
Desirable:
- Has experience as a pedagogical leader and is confident in the leadership role.
- Has experience in leading, guiding and following up a staff group.
- Guidance education and/or experience with guiding kindergarten teacher students and newly graduated staff
- Experience with pedagogical development work and change processes
- Good competence in inclusive kindergarten environments, play, relationship work and children's participation
- Good knowledge of the kindergarten's societal mandate and the importance of prevention and early intervention
Before start date a police certificate (not older than 3 months) must be submitted according to the Kindergarten Act § 30. Tuberculosis status must be documented before start date.
