The health and care unit in Grue municipality has a vacant maternity temporary substitute position 80% with working hours day/evening (or possibly lower if desired). Temporary substitute position with possibility of extension.
Nursing students who are at the end of their education are also encouraged to apply. The nursing home has introduced long shifts, with work every 4th weekend, if desired. We also offer opportunities for long shifts on weekdays. rota / shift schedule that provides the possibility for longer consecutive leave periods.
We are looking for nurses with a patient-oriented focus who want to help develop the unit. As a nurse you will have overall responsibility for the medical follow-up of the patients at the nursing home.
Grue nursing home is organized under the strategic area health and welfare. The nursing home has a total of 50 places distributed over two departments. 1st floor has 27 long-term places for people with cognitive impairment, and 2nd floor has 15 long-term places and 8 short-term places. From 2023 one KAD place (Municipal acute 24-hour bed) is operated in dept. 2nd floor.
We now have a vacant maternity temporary substitute position in KAD, short- and long-term department. Here as a nurse you will meet rehabilitation and palliative care, in addition to nursing home care.
KAD, short- and long-term department offer varied tasks as we provide both short-term stays - time-limited for people who for a shorter period have comprehensive needs for health and care services, rehabilitation, mapping/assessment and long-term stays for patients with extensive assistance needs.
As a nurse in the department you will work with different patient groups where you will use and develop your skills.
The nursing home is located at Grue Health Centre together with Home-based services and Supported services.
Work tasks
- Provide services in accordance with relevant legislation and the municipality's rules
- Ensure safe operation with good quality
- Observe and assess, implement measures, provide treatment and care to the patients
- Perform nursing professional tasks according to current routines and procedures, ensure good documentation, and uphold guidelines and requirements for good holistic nursing.
- Responsible for medication management in accordance with current routines
- Map, implement and evaluate measures in collaboration with users and the interdisciplinary team
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with doctor, specialist health service, skilled worker (trade certificate), assistants etc.
- Be a driving force for competence development
- Actively contribute to a safe, health-promoting and inclusive working environment
- Guidance responsibility towards colleagues, students, users and relatives
- Provide practical care and nursing with respect for the individual's integrity, self-determination and cultural background
Qualifications
- Norwegian authorization as a nurse. If you are a student at the end of your education, you are also encouraged to apply
- Relevant work experience. Experience from somatics is desirable
- Must have good Norwegian written and oral expression
- Good computer skills and preferably master the documentation program Profil
- Focus on person-centered care
- Able to work independently and be confident in own role
- Good teamwork skills
- A police certificate newer than three months must be presented before start date of the position

- A general supplement for all nurses / social educator (vernepleier) of kr. 29 000,- in full position
- Grue municipality is included in the government's debt relief scheme. This means cancellation of student loans of kr. 25.000,- annually for those who live in the municipality and have student loans.
