We have a one-year temporary substitute position in a 70% position as Sterile Supply Technician/Assistant at the AIO department, Sterile Central, Kristiansand.

Possibility of extension and increased position percentage with changes in the unit's staffing situation.

The position is part of a two-part rota / shift schedule, and weekend shifts must be expected.

Do you have competence in infection control and an interest in quality-controlled reprocessing of surgical instruments and medical equipment? Do you enjoy a physically active workday and tasks that require accuracy, responsibility and professional commitment? Then you may be the one we are looking for.

Work tasks

  • Reprocessing of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  • Operation of washing, disinfection and sterilization equipment.
  • Inspection, packing and sterilization of instruments.
  • Traceability registration and quality documentation.
  • Inventory handling and distribution of sterile products.

The sterile supply unit is a unit in continuous development, and changes in tasks and areas of responsibility must be expected in line with the needs of the unit and the hospital.

Qualifications

  • Trade certificate (fagbrev) as a health care worker or cleaning operator is desirable. Applicants who are in vocational training and expect to take their trade test in the near future may also be considered.
  • Experience working in sterile supply and/or in an operating department is valued.
  • Good digital skills and the ability to use electronic quality systems.
  • Good Norwegian language skills, both written and oral.

  • Is professionally engaged and concerned with quality in the work.
  • Has a positive attitude and contributes to a good working environment.
  • Is able to work both independently and in a team.
  • Enjoys an active and at times busy working environment.
