“SiO Kindergarten takes care of the magic of childhood”  

With us, play and children's wonder are in focus. Children can experience small moments as magical, and have the opportunity to be spontaneous and impulsive. We have an extra focus on play, relationships and sustainability. All our kindergartens are Eco-Lighthouse certified. From autumn 2026, SIO Kindergarten will start a large project focused on reading interest and reading joy in collaboration with OsloMet.

SiO Kindergarten is looking for an engaged pedagogical leader, kindergarten teacher and staff member to work with us.

The right candidates are motivated by contributing to children's learning, have great professional engagement and are aware of their role in the children's everyday life. The SiO kindergartens are looking for employees who can contribute to this in a good and professionally strong community. We are currently recruiting staff for the following kindergarten and positions:

Blindernveien -  SIO Kindergarten

A pedagogical leader in a 100% temporary substitute position through the end of 2027. Start as soon as possible/by agreement.

A kindergarten teacher in a 100% permanent position. Start January 2027. Possibility for earlier or later start. 

A kindergarten employee in a 100% permanent position, start in January 2027.

 

What are we looking for in a pedagogical leader?

We are looking for a confident and structured pedagogical leader who takes responsibility for leading, developing and inspiring both employees and the pedagogical work in everyday life. You dare to challenge yourself and your colleagues in a constructive way, and are aware of how your own attitudes, values and actions affect children, guardians and employees.

As a leader you are able to motivate, guide and create engagement in the staff group. You have strong communication and collaboration skills, and contribute to an inclusive and development-oriented working environment. Furthermore, you are a driving force for professional development, quality improvement and innovation, and have a holistic understanding of the kindergarten's societal mission, pedagogical content and organizational goals. Through clear leadership you help the department achieve its goals and ensure a safe, learning and inspiring environment for both children and staff.

 

What are we looking for in a kindergarten teacher?

We are looking for a structured person who dares to challenge themselves and their colleagues in daily work. You must be aware of your attitudes, values and actions, and furthermore be able to inspire and motivate your colleagues. You have good communication and collaboration skills. Together with the pedagogical leader you shall be a driving force for professional development and innovation, and have a holistic understanding of the professional environment in the kindergarten. 

What are we looking for in skilled workers (trade certificate)/staff member?

We are looking for engaged employees who have a genuine interest in the children's upbringing. You are able to show care and guide children in play, activity and learning processes. We are looking for someone who collaborates well with colleagues and who takes responsibility and contributes to both professional and practical tasks in the department.
