Norway is on its way to acquiring one of the world’s most advanced aircraft fleets so that we can assert sovereignty over Norwegian airspace. When Norway purchases new P-8 surveillance aircraft, F-35 fighter aircraft, and AW101 rescue helicopters, it is Forsvarsmateriell Luftkapasiteter that procures and manages them.
The Technology and Design Department in FMA Luftkapasiteter is the primary technical expertise throughout all phases of the procurement projects. The Technology and Design Department translates the user's needs into technical and functional requirement specifications, follows up design during development and production, and participates in evaluation of the products prior to operational use. In addition, the department develops its own modifications and repairs within the framework given by the European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMAR 21) to make the aircraft suitable for the missions they are intended to perform.
The Section for Initial Airworthiness and Design leads design and production work for all materiel in Luftkapasiteter's portfolio and shall rationalize work processes and ensure these are tailored to the tasks the section must perform. The assignments are defined as prioritized work packages from the Project Department and the Continuous Airworthiness Department (LFK, CAMO) as well as regulatory tasks to support the Norwegian Military Airworthiness Authority NML (MAA-NOR). The section works with all military aircraft types; light and heavy Fixed Wing Aircraft, heavy Rotary Wing Aircraft, as well as a range of different UAS systems in all weight classes. The section holds the role of Airworthiness Office in the division's EMAR 21 design organisation, Military Design Organisation Approval NOR.MIL.21J.001. To fulfill these tasks we are now seeking motivated employees.

We use continuous improvement as a working methodology.
