Seaman Sykkylven-Magerholm

Fjord1 has a vacant position as seaman in the route Sykkylven-Magerholm, currently MF Rovdehorn.

As a seaman you will be part of a skilled team that ensures safe and efficient operations. You handle loading and unloading in a safe manner, keep a lookout and contribute to maintenance that ensures everything works as it should. With us you will have a varied workday together with good colleagues.

Shift schedule: 2 weeks on, and 1 week off / 2 weeks on, and 3 weeks off.

Applicant must live locally. Start by agreement.

Responsibilities

• Ticketing, bridge watch and miscellaneous work on board
• Duty to alternate between deck and engine
• Work tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor
• Tasks related to alarm instruction
• Safety and environmental work
• Customer handling

Qualifications

• Seaman competency certificate or the necessary sea service to be able to serve as a seaman
• Competency certificate in basic safety training
• Crisis and passenger handling
• MES training
• Valid medical certificate

Fjord1 covers the crisis and passenger handling course for the relevant candidate
