We are looking for an engaged and professionally confident resource teacher who will work across
our three kindergartens and 14 departments.

Austsiå kindergartens consist of Øygard kindergarten, Gravarslia kindergarten and Vatne kindergarten – three
kindergartens with a focus on quality, development and good relationships. With us you will become part of an engaged professional environment
with a manager in each kindergarten and a shared head of operations who together work to create the best everyday life
for the children. We participate in Sandnes municipality's development work "Development-supporting kindergartens" (USB), where
competence enhancement and quality are central. We work for a good inclusive environment for all children.

We want an employee who is passionate about inclusive practice, and who wants to contribute so that children with different
preconditions can be a natural part of the community.
As a resource teacher you will be a cross-cutting professional resource in the organisation. You will work closely with
pedagogical leaders and other staff to develop good, inclusive environments for all children.
An important part of the position will be to strengthen the staff's competence and practice.
You will among other things work with observation, guidance, measures, competence development and collaboration around children and child groups.

We want to develop a practice where as many children as possible experience:

As a resource teacher you will be an important resource in this work.

The position as resource teacher is dependent on financing. If financing ends, you will move into another position in the organisation.


Tasks

  • Observe children, child groups, play, interaction and the adult role
  • Guide pedagogical leaders and other staff
  • Help identify what promotes and hinders children's participation
  • Contribute with measures related to play, language, relationships, social development and inclusion
  • Follow up and evaluate measures
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive pedagogical practice
  • Participate in the organisation's resource group
  • Participate in meetings with parents and collaboration partners when needed
  • Collaborate with PPT and other relevant services
  • Contribute to competence development in the organisation
  • Help develop good routines and systems for inclusive practice

Qualifications

  • Approved pedagogical education as a kindergarten teacher, special educator, child welfare educator or other relevant bachelor such as social educator (vernepleier), social worker.   (persons with education from abroad must attach documentation that the education is approved in Norway)
  • Satisfactory police certificate is a prerequisite for employment. This shall not be attached to the application, but delivered as soon as possible after an offer of employment and before start date
  • In this position you are required to deliver a self-declaration for tuberculosis before start date
  • Experience from kindergarten, and with special education, guidance, kindergarten development or interdisciplinary collaboration is desirable
