Public health nurse in 80% permanent position
Description of the workplace:
The health centre services in Gjøvik kommune are organized under the sector for upbringing and form part of the children and family service, together with youth health and coping, the educational and psychological support service and supported housing and inclusion. The health centre services have their own head of operations and approximately 27 full-time equivalents and 30 employees. We offer services to pregnant people, children and young people and their families within antenatal care, the health centre for 0-5 years, the school health service and the youth health centre. In addition, we offer travel vaccinations and are responsible for infection control together with the municipal chief medical officer. We are also in the process of planning a migration health team.
The health centre in Gjøvik kommune is located in the town hall together with more of the other upbringing services. The health centre service is organized into professional teams based on area of work.

Work tasks:
  • The position is currently in the school health service, but this may be changed depending on the needs of the service.
Qualifications:
  • Fully trained public health nurse; alternatively, nurses who have begun public health nurse education are encouraged to apply
  • Preferably experience and practice from the health centre or the school health service
  • class B driving licence
  • Approved police certificate must be presented
  • Personal suitability will be emphasized

  • Professional commitment to public health nursing
  • Have good collaboration skills and understanding of interdisciplinary cooperation and holistic thinking
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Is structured, flexible and solution-oriented
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral in Norwegian
  • Has an awareness of one's own impact on the working environment
  • Personal suitability will be emphasized.
