We have a vacant 100% permanent position as a psychologist specialist at BUP Hamar, section Stange/Løten.

BUP Hamar is a child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic in the Clinic for Mental Health and Addiction at Sykehuset Innlandet, and currently serves the municipalities Ringsaker, Hamar, Stange and Løten. We have close cooperation with other agencies in these municipalities, and with the other BUP units in the BUP Innlandet department. We offer specialized assessment and treatment of mental disorders to the child and adolescent population in the catchment area. We are an interdisciplinary outpatient clinic, and today have 61 employees divided into 6 sections who work closely together in teams to provide a good treatment offer to the patients, their families and our partners.

The position requires a police certificate pursuant to the Health Personnel Act § 20a (applies to work with children and mental health).


Work tasks

The vacant position as psychologist specialist in section Stange/Løten is currently linked to assessment and treatment of particularly neurodevelopmental disorders and related conditions, and is intended as a natural part of the unit's matrix-organized neuro team. Over time, there may be service needs for changes in the professional focus of the position or section affiliation.

Main features of the work tasks are:

  • Assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with various mental disorders
  • Guidance to, and cooperation with, partners such as guardians, municipal support services, kindergartens and schools 
  • Specialist tasks related to patient work, training of health personnel and training of patients/guardians
  • Close cooperation with colleagues in interdisciplinary treatment sections

Qualifications

  • Authorization as a specialist in clinical psychology, preferably with a specialization in children and adolescents, or a specialization in neuropsychology
  • Experience from clinical work with children and adolescents, families and cooperating agencies
  • Experience from previous work at child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinics with neurodevelopmental disorders (BUP) is an advantage
  • class B driving licence
  • The applicant must be proficient in written and spoken Norwegian

  • Ability to work purposefully and systematically with change work
  • Good ability to create effective collaborative relationships with and around children, guardians and cooperating agencies
  • Good ability to structure one's own working day and the ability to continuously update documentation/records in accordance with applicable laws/regulations
  • Flexibility and good collaboration skills
  • Personal suitability will be given decisive weight
