Trøndelag county's PP service is seeking an engaged, skilled and development-oriented employee who has good knowledge of and experience from the PP service's areas of work. We now have a vacant temporary substitute position as PP advisor from 07.12.2026 to 31.07.2027 in a 100% position. The position will be linked to Region Nord and the office location will for the time being be at Olav Duun Upper Secondary School, Namsos.
The county PP service is responsible for follow-up of pupils in upper secondary schools and candidates/apprentices in company-based training. The service is also responsible for children of primary school age who live in child welfare institutions in the county. PPT is organised under the Department of Competence, but is to a large extent a decentralised and region-based service that works closely with the schools. PPT is interdisciplinary, composed of educators and psychologists who are affiliated with different regions and fields of work; Region Midt, Region Nord, Region Sør-Vest and BUI-Children and young people in child welfare institutions.
PPT shall contribute to that young people with various and complex difficulties receive a meaningful and satisfactory educational offer. This involves direct work with pupils and candidates/apprentices, and collaboration with staff in schools and companies. PPT is part of the school's support system when it comes to facilitation of education and prevention of dropout. As a PPT employee one must use one's competence both from an individual perspective and a system perspective. This includes, among other things, giving advice, guidance and training on how to understand and handle various learning obstacles.
