Asker municipality is committed to using the right competence in the right place at the right time, and has a well-established professional team consisting of nurses, physiotherapists and culture and activity consultants. These are tasked with ensuring interdisciplinary follow-up of users at the residential and care centers.
The nurses in the professional team work across departments and are responsible for performing/following up nursing procedures. The professional team has the overall responsibility for nursing assessments in the various departments. We currently have 3 professional teams in our operation. The professional teams are distributed across these institutions:
Nesbru residential and care center - long-term placements and a housing unit for younger people with dementia. In addition, the care center has a department for people with geriatric psychiatric and/or substance abuse-related disorders.
Solgården residential and care center - long-term placements and short-term placements for people with dementia. One of the departments has an enhanced locked ward for people with dementia.
In addition, the care center has a day activity service for home-dwelling people with dementia.
Mobile professional team is based at Gullhella residential and care center, and is also responsible for Holmentunet, Vardåsen and Abos.
By organizing nurses in professional teams we ensure around-the-clock nursing coverage throughout the organization. The nurses will be able to use their competence and have the opportunity to work in an active professional environment with great development potential.
Varied knowledge among the nurses will help strengthen, develop, secure and ensure the quality of our services, as well as increase professionalism and competence for both nurses and healthcare workers in the organization.
One of our skilled nurses is unfortunately moving, and we therefore have a vacant 100% permanent position, day/evening. This position is in the professional team at Solgården residential and care center. The nurses currently work every 4th weekend, with the possibility of long shifts. The position is available from 01.12.2026.
