Are you a solution-oriented mechanic who likes things to work? At our workshop in Korgen we have an exciting vacancy for you who want to keep the wheels turning in Hemnes municipality.
As a mechanic with us you will have a key role. You will have the main responsibility for preventive maintenance and repairs of our machinery fleet. By ensuring that the equipment is always in top condition, you contribute directly to us delivering the quality the residents and our services expect.

Responsibilities

As a mechanic at our workshop in Hesthagen in Korgen you will have a central role in the operation and maintenance of our machinery fleet. The position involves both workshop work and operational participation in the municipality's operations.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of machines and equipment.
  • Seasonal preparation and follow-up of service intervals.
  • Planning parts needs and purchasing workshop materials.
  • Ensure cost-effective and structured implementation of maintenance work.
  • Participation in the on-call rota for winter maintenance of the municipal roads.

Qualifications

  • With us you must have a trade certificate (fagbrev) as a mechanic. Other relevant education and experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
  • We want you to have experience with repair and maintenance of construction machinery and equipment, trucks, passenger cars as well as welding, electrical troubleshooting and hydraulics.
  • You must have good technical/IT understanding.
  • Driving licence class BE and fast tractor are required.
  • You have good knowledge of HSE work.
  • Advantage with forklift operator certificate and G4/G11.
  • Desirable with driving licence class C and machine operator certificate.
