We are looking for an engaged cook for our skilled team at Skjervøy sickbay and nursing home, where your competence will truly be valued.
We have a vacancy, with start as soon as possible, a 100% permanent position. The position is in rota / shift schedule with day shifts on weekdays and work every third weekend.

The kitchen encompasses approximately 4 full-time equivalents, including kitchen manager, cook and kitchen assistants. The operation is in an exciting restructuring process where employee participation is important.
The department has main responsibility for food production for the institution, and it is arranged for self-produced food that meets the nutritional quality requirements.
In addition, we offer meal delivery to people living at home (cook and chill).
We have 19 nursing home places, a dementia ward with 9 places, a sickbay with 5 places and an active institutional kitchen.

Responsibilities
- Cooking; including baking and cooking of dinner, meal preparation as well as preparation of dry food
- Diet and menu planning for traditional food production and various types of special diets
- Interaction between the departments in the operation to be able to provide the best possible food offering to patients and residents in the operation
- Internal control and HACCP
- Training/guidance to the staff in the operation
- Various other relevant kitchen tasks
Qualifications
- Cook with trade certificate (fagbrev), preferably institutional cook
- Knowledge and experience with cook and chill is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Experience with traditional food, Norwegian home-style cuisine and various types of special diets
