Målselv municipality with approximately 6800 inhabitants is located centrally in Troms county. In addition to the town Bardufoss as the regional centre, Målselv has more vibrant towns. The municipality has a varied business community and the Armed Forces have a central place.

The nursing home service in Målselv municipality is located at Målselv Health Centre which is situated at Andslimoen. In addition to nursing home wards and the institutional kitchen, Målselv Health Centre consists of the physio- and occupational therapy services.

The nursing home service consists of the following wards:

• Mårtind/Alappen: 16 long-term places, of which the places are intended for people with dementia who require shielding.
• Sollitind/Vassbruna: 20 places, of which 2 places are reserved for ØHD beds, 8 short-term places and 10 long-term places.
• Istind/Mauken: 20 long-term places.
The Health Centre has weekly supervision from the nursing home doctor and weekly multidisciplinary meetings. We have good cooperation with the physiotherapy service, the medical service, home nursing and volunteer organisations.

The Mauken/Istind department now has a vacant 100% nurse position in a permanent position, two-part rota / shift schedule with work every third weekend.

We work towards a holistic approach in the unit and that they will be given training in the other wards.

The positions have a recruitment supplement of up to 40 000 kr over collective agreement pay. 

Work tasks:

• Daily follow-up of patients
• Nursing professional responsibility for patients
• Quality development of the service
• Responsibility for allocation of resources and tasks, as well as documentation and reporting
• Ensure good interaction with and follow-up of relatives and users
• Follow-up/guidance of students and pupils 

Qualification requirements:

• Authorization as a nurse. 
• Social educator (vernepleier) can be considered for appointment.
• Good Norwegian skills, both oral and written. Applicants with a native language other than Norwegian must document passing the Norwegian test B2.
• It is an advantage if the applicant has experience documenting in the journal system Profil.

• Good knowledge of ICT and documentation, we use Profil as the journal system

Arrangement for student loan cancellation:

Employment terms:

Salary in accordance with agreement. Good pension scheme in accordance with municipal employment terms, and probation period.

Applicants called for interview must submit copies of certificates of employment from previous employers and diplomas of education. 

A police certificate must be provided for employment in positions that require this pursuant to the Police's purpose overview

Those covered by the Regulation on tuberculosis control § 3-1 cf. § 3-2 must submit a recent health certificate before start date.

Exceptions to access may be made for information about an applicant if the person themselves requests it.
