My name is Isak, I am 14 years old and have Down syndrome. I love life with everything that comes with it. I am super social with lots of humor, so you are guaranteed to enjoy my company. I am also very caring, kind and a little stubborn. I want you to be patient and give me time to carry out activities and to become independent. I thrive best with someone who has a stable mood and energy. You must like my informal humor where I joke and tell a few tall tales to create a good atmosphere, and it is important that you have the energy to come up with activities both indoors and outdoors.
Some days I just want to calm down, other days I am more active with some of my favourites which today are football, cycling, the trampoline, the water park, dance and music, Nerf battles, water fights, going to the youth club Gnist, games indoors and outdoors and I have Nintendo and Playstation in my room. I am outdoors a lot when the warm weather comes so you must like that.
I cycle in the local area at Silsand to the football fields, the shop, visits and when I want to get some fresh air. I want to play more football and be more included in the youth environment when I am very social so you can gladly help me with that. I have an e-bike and have also bought a new e-bike for my BPA assistants.
One or two BPA assistants and I travel to Tromsø and Harstad by fast ferry or we drive to Bardufoss to be at the water park and think it is great fun with water slides, especially where I reach the bottom and can be 100% independent. I listen to music a lot and like to have a concert with guitar or drums. I have bought myself an electronic drum kit.
I am at dance training every Wednesday and participate in a dance performance twice a year at the cultural centre.
I am good at playing UNO, possibly the best in the world, and outside I play, among other things, kubb. I generally take part in many different things, have tried a lot and master a lot. I also like just being at home both outdoors and indoors without so much planning.
It is important to me that you:
· Are fond of activities and people
· Are patient with a stable mood and energy
· Are confident, independent and prioritise me and my needs
· Like to do that little extra, and contribute to keeping things tidy and clean even when I slack off
· Have a class B driving licence
I live at Silsand with my family who are my mum who is also the work leader, my dad, my older sister, a dog and a cat.
Work tasks:
· Be with me in everyday life after school and on weekends

· Be calm when talking with me, teach me something new and help me communicate
Practical tasks in the home:
