Verdal municipality is seeking an engaged and responsible cleaning operator for the cleaning department.
The cleaning department is responsible for cleaning approximately 110 000 m² of municipal buildings distributed across the municipality.
As a cleaning operator you will be responsible for performing cleaning according to established cleaning plans and quality requirements, and contribute to ensuring that the municipality's buildings appear clean, hygienic and pleasant.
The work includes daily, periodic and main cleaning, use of modern cleaning methods and cleaning machines, as well as use of digital work tools. Cleaning is planned and followed up through electronic cleaning plans in LAFT.
As a cleaning operator you will become an important part of the municipality's service production and contribute to creating good, safe and pleasant surroundings for the municipality's employees, users, pupils, children and residents.
We are looking for someone who works independently and structured, takes responsibility for their own tasks and is concerned with quality and good cleaning results.

- Up to 1 x 100 % permanent position
- Start date by agreement
- Working hours mainly daytime
- Workplace and tasks may be changed according to the needs of the cleaning department
- Two references are desirable
- Police certificate may be required in certain buildings/units
- Appointment is made on the terms set out in laws, regulations and collective agreements
- Applications must be sent electronically via the municipality's recruitment system
- In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, the list of applicants may be made public even if an applicant has requested exemption from public disclosure. The applicant will in such case be notified before the applicant list is published.
Work tasks
- Daily, periodic and main cleaning according to electronic cleaning plans in LAFT
- Perform cleaning in accordance with established cleaning quality and applicable routines
- Use modern cleaning methods, cleaning machines and other relevant cleaning equipment
- Refilling of consumables
- Registration and follow-up of work tasks in digital systems
- Follow applicable routines for hygiene, infection control, HSE and quality
- Cleaning and maintenance of cleaning equipment and machines
- Check own work and ensure good cleaning results
- Report deviations, damages, deficiencies and maintenance needs
- Handle unforeseen needs and make necessary priorities during the working day
- Collaborate with colleagues and management on task execution
- Contribute to order, well-being and a good working environment
- Contribute to development and continuous improvement of the cleaning service
- Perform other relevant tasks in the cleaning department as needed
Qualifications
- Trade certificate (fagbrev) as a cleaning operator is desirable, but not a requirement. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of a trade certificate (fagbrev)
- Relevant experience from cleaning work is an advantage
- Experience with periodic cleaning and floor maintenance is an advantage
- Experience with the use of cleaning machines is an advantage
- Familiarity with professional cleaning methods and cleaning quality is an advantage
- Knowledge of hygiene, infection control and HSE is desirable
- Knowledge of correct use and handling of cleaning chemicals is desirable
- Ability to follow established cleaning plans, routines and instructions
- Ability to assess cleaning needs and prioritize tasks
- Proficiency in Norwegian spoken and written at minimum level A2
- Have basic digital skills
- Experience with electronic cleaning plans and digital work tools is desirable
