Carpenter/joiner

We are seeking a versatile carpenter/joiner who will help take care of parks, recreational areas, the archipelago park and the municipality forest. This is an exciting job for you who like to work practically, enjoy varied workdays and want to use your professional skills outdoors.

As a carpenter/joiner in the Park Service you will use both professional knowledge, practical skills and tools in your daily work. You will become an important part of a team that ensures the municipality's outdoor areas, installations and facilities are safe, functional and well maintained throughout the year.

The work takes place in varied terrain and in different weather conditions throughout the year. The position involves physical outdoor work, lifting and carrying of materials and equipment, as well as cleaning and waste disposal of toilets and other facilities as needed. You must therefore enjoy a physical and active working day.

We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, practically minded and likes to find good solutions to various challenges. You must be able to work independently while also collaborating well with colleagues and other partners. Personal suitability will be weighted. You should also be engaged in contributing to attractive, safe and accessible outdoor areas.

In the Park Service you will have many skilled colleagues and become part of a professional environment responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's green structure. This includes, among other things, parks, playgrounds, outdoor recreation areas, archipelago park, cemeteries and municipality forest. In addition, the Park Service operates green facilities for other sectors, including at schools and institutions.

The position is organised under the Park Service's production unit, currently in the Recreational Areas zone.
     

Work tasks

• Maintenance, repair and construction of smaller structures and installations in parks, recreational areas and the archipelago park
• Use and maintenance of hand tools, machines and other relevant equipment
• Practical operation and maintenance in varied terrain and throughout the year, including lifting and carrying of materials and equipment
• Cleaning, waste disposal of recreational toilets and other routine operational tasks in the municipality's parks, recreational areas, archipelago park and municipality forest
• Contribute to a safe and good working environment in accordance with applicable HSE routines

Qualifications

• Trade certificate (fagbrev) as carpenter/joiner or other relevant craft education
• Experience with maintenance, repair and construction of smaller structures and installations
• Practical experience with hand tools, machines and other relevant equipment
• class B driving licence. Driving licences BE and C are an advantage
• Must be able to work physically outdoors in varied terrain and in different weather conditions throughout the year
