A happy and lively 10-year-old boy seeks an engaged assistant!

I am a happy and lively 10-year-old boy. I live in a nice detached house with lots of space and a garden in Ås. It is easy to commute here from Ski, Moss and Oslo.

I love activity, water, music and dance, and am diagnosed with childhood autism. I live with my 17-year-old older sister, mum and dad. You who will assist me must therefore be comfortable working closely with my family. Therefore it is important that you get on well with my family and that you collaborate well.

I am a child who needs a lot of activity, therefore I need an assistant to be with. I get bored very quickly at home. Especially on weekends and during free time I need help to come up with new things and to be at playgrounds and outdoors on walks.

With the right motivation and routine I manage to do everything myself. I love going to new places, but not with a lot of noise. Then I can wear hearing protection. I have no speech, so I therefore use sign-to-speech and some sign language. It is therefore important that you are good at communicating and interpreting body language. I understand a lot without sign language too, for example "go to the toilet", "put on clothes", "going out" etc. I am a bit picky about food and eat very specific types of food, but I am very clear about saying what I will have. I do not understand the word DANGEROUS very well. Therefore it is important that you are 100% attentive and present when we are together.

Work tasks:

● Activity – Play, swim etc.

● Be outside with me

● Observe and facilitate good sleep

● Play and read a book with me

● Personal care

● Supervision

● Keep my room clean and tidy

Working hours:

Working hours will mainly be in the afternoon/evening, at 16:30 - 20.00.
Weekends from 12:30/13:00 - 18:00/19:00.
Otherwise as needed when school is closed.
Occasionally there may be an overnight shift, when we have become well acquainted.

Qualifications:

● Over 18 years old

● Good communication skills in Norwegian

● Approved police certificate. This will be obtained in connection with signing the employment contract and should not be attached to the application.
